Mentoring

OMSE provides the structure and support for students to receive on going and goal oriented academic, personal, and professional guidance and support from a qualified and constructive staff and/or peer mentor. Mentors can encourage and challenge you through your college career, assist you through difficult times, and help you celebrate your successes. Additionally, students and their mentors will receive orientation and continuous support through workshops and activities that assist in getting the most out of the mentoring relationship. We encourage all first year students and anyone else that is interested, to sign-up for a mentor today! Mentors are assigned at the start of each semester.

Please contact Mike Andrews, mandrew1@umd.edu, or 301-405-5623 for more information regarding OMSE’s various mentoring opportunities.
