The mission of OMSE is to eliminate the achievement gap by providing direct and indirect services through programs such as walk-in tutoring, the College Success Scholars program, Road Maps to Success, the ACE Mentoring program, OMSE Academic Excellence Society, and Weekly Academic Honors Program. Over the last year, there have been several stellar accomplishments, including:

• Enrollment of 51 multi-ethnic males in College Success Scholars
• Over 200 students inducted to OMSE Academic Excellence Society
• Gold Standard Program launched in Fall 2009
• Updated Website launched Fall 2009
• Assessment and Development Restructuring
• Addition of community service and service learning initiatives
• Over 200 middle/high school students attend the American Indian Symposium
