La Familia
What is the La Familia program?
La Familia is a peer-mentoring program established in 2000 to assist Latino/Hispanic first-year students with their college transition by providing one-on-one guidance and support through the use of peer mentors. In addition, La Familia incorporates a network of Latino student organizations to provide a wide range of activities to help ease the transition to college and to help create a sense of community for first year students. In the upcoming year, La Familia program will include political, social, educational and cultural events for mentees and mentors to attend.
