The Office of Multi Ethnic Student Education’s (OMSE) Student Ambassador Program is the link that allows students, faculty, staff, friends and guests, particularly prospective students, to appreciate the culture of the office. Ambassadors will meet and greet prospective students and their families, the campus family and guests to share their knowledge and experiences, and what it means to be associated with OMSE and the University of Maryland. As an ambassador, the student will have an opportunity to share college resources with you and your guests.
By requesting an OMSE Ambassador, you will help others become knowledgeable about what OMSE has to offer to support UM students academically, socially, and professionally. By requesting an OMSE Ambassador to present at your event or just have a table display, you will give the OMSE Ambassador an opportunity to develop leadership and mentoring skills, utilize his/her skills in public speaking, and a chance to network as they interact with other students, faculty, staff and members of the community.
If you would like an OMSE Ambassador to present information about OMSE’s academic support services at a meeting, workshop, or other events, click on the request form for registration and guidelines, and submit.
We look forward to working with you to make the University of Maryland a better and more informed place for high standards, high expectations and excellence.
